Who We Are

The Corner Brook and District Labour Council represents unions through delegates that are chosen by their unions. We include workers who live or work in the towns of Corner Brook, Deer Lake, and the towns that lie between them in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

We are chartered by the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) which represents 3.5 million unionized workers in Canada. The Labour Council mission is to bring together our delegates from unions within the province of Newfoundland and Labrador with the mission to bring social justice to our province at the municipal level.

Our delegates come bi-monthly meetings to plan and execute activities that are designed to support justice, inclusiveness and fairness in our organizations and in our communities though political action, community awareness events and interaction with our affiliate labour organizations.
